Texas started out slow offensively. We put ourselves in that hole right there in the first half. I believe it was nine for 100. It’s just tough to overcome, and those are things we’ve got to really work on and really focus on to not only lessen, but to eliminate.” -Sterlin Gilbert
Strong believes the Horns’ offense has the potential to be explosive. “Our offense is so explosive,” Strong said. “I know that at any point we can go score... We knew it was going to take a little time and then all of a sudden we were going to hit the home run, and then boom, we hit another one.”
The Horns heeded Charlie Strong’s message. "I don't feel like it's going to ease up," Foreman said. "I feel like it's something that we just have to keep fighting with."
The all important national media believe this was Texas best defensive effort in a long time.
What was with all the calls for taunting? "I told those officials, I said, 'I've never seen this many flags for taunting or whatever it is'," head coach Charlie Strong said.
