Former Texas Longhorns linebacker Steve Edmond said it best n the spring of 2014 -- the Baylor Bears are trash. Little did he know just how right he was.
As Texas head coach Charlie Strong enters another weekend that features what feels like a must-win game, the 'Horns will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT on ABC at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
The misbehaving Baptists are in town with their star, dog-beating wide receiver and the entire coaching staff that helped enable the 19 football players since 2011 who were reported for sexual or domestic assault by 17 women, including four alleged gang rapes.
One of those assistants cornered rape survivor Brenda Tracy after her recent talk to the team and claimed that "nothing happened" and that the whole scandal was just a big "conspiracy" against the football program. #TruthDontLie, and other such rubbish.
That assistant is trash, as is interim head coach Jim Grobe, who likes to echo former president Kenneth Starr when ignorance suits him, then claims that there isn't a culture of bad behavior in Waco. Just a bunch of good kids, like dog beater Ish Zamora and serial stalker Rami Hammad. Trash.
Can the Longhorns win for just the second time in six games? It sure would feel good, because Baylor is trash.
