WATCH: Texas head coach leaves field to ‘Charlie’ chants after win over Baylor

The home crowd paid its respects to Charlie Strong for the important victory.

“Charlie! Charlie! Charlie! Charlie!”

The crowd at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium serenaded the embattled Texas Longhorns head coach following the 35-34 victory over the Baylor Bears on Saturday evening:

The win was the second straight against the Bears, but only the second Longhorns victory in the last six games.

While Charlie Strong will need a few more to stand a strong chance of keeping his job for a fourth season, the respect from the fans was certainly deserving — in a bottom-line business, Texas came out with the win.

For the next week, that will be enough.
