On November 30, 1916, Texas Longhorns mascot Bevo make its debut in a 21-7 Thanksgiving win over the Texas A&M Aggies.
On Friday, the ‘Horns will commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the beloved mascot with a helmet decal for Friday’s game against the TCU Horned Frogs:

The current mascot, Bevo XV, made his public debut at the season opener against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Sunrise Spur, the given name of Bevo XV, is the youngest mascot ever for the Longhorns and is currently only 21 months old.
