Texas Longhorns head coach Tom Herman will have another opportunity to secure a commitment from Brenham linebacker Marqez Bimage on January 20 when the Houston Cougars pledge visits Austin for an official visit, according to Horns247.
The 6’3, 233-pounder is arguably the most important target of the several Cougars commits offered by Herman since his hire by the Longhorns, as the inside linebacker position is one of the biggest remaining needs in the class.
Ranked as the No. 25 inside linebacker nationally in the 247Sports Composite rankings, Bimage is high school defensive end who had 19.5 tackles for loss and nine sacks as a senior.
Texas offered Bimage on December 11. Since then, Utah and Baylor have also offered. However, given that the Brenham product stuck with the commitment that he made to Houston in December of 2015 after receiving offers from Cal, Kansas State, and LSU since that time, Texas looks like the only real threat to flip him.
As for that possibility, there are now four flip predictions in the 247Sports Crystal Ball for Bimage.
