Tom Herman has at least 25 million guaranteed. “According to a term sheet released by the university, Herman is scheduled to receive $5.25 million in his first year, with annual raises of $250,000 that will give him a salary of $6.25 million in 2021. But if he is fired without cause at any point, the school would owe him $5 million per year remaining on his deal.”

Herman’s success has everything to do with alignment. “Alignment is something Herman learned from Urban Meyer during his days as the offensive coordinator at Ohio State. It simply means the entire program has to have the same expectations, the same goals and the same message has to resonate from top to bottom.”

No, Oklahoma did not make the CF Playoffs. The Ohio State University made it in with a marquee win over the Sooners earlier in the season. “But as coach Urban Meyer learned that his team will take on Clemson on New Year’s Eve in the Fiesta Bowl semifinal in Glendale, Arizona, he reflected on the one game in the final analysis that made the difference: the 45-24 win at Oklahoma on Sept. 17. “We wouldn’t get in” without that win, Meyer said.”
