Texas offers 2018 LB/S DeMarvion Overshown

Tom Herman hasn’t forgotten about #bEASTTexas, even though he didn’t keep Jeff Traylor on staff.

The second Texas Longhorns offer on Wednesday went out to a 2018 prospect, Arp outside linebacker/safety DeMarvion Overshown:

Listed as an outside linebacker prospect, the 6’4, 196-pounder plays free safety and wide receiver at Arp, which is set to play in the 3A state semifinals on Friday. Through the season’s first nine games, he averaged over 10 tackles per contest and added an interception.

As a sophomore, Overshown played defensive end and recorded 110 tackles and seven sacks. So he already has experience playing at multiple levels of the defense and comfortable playing around the line of scrimmage and as a free safety.

With only one reported offer, from UTSA, Overshown is an under-the-radar prospect with listed 4.61 40 speed, good quickness, and an extremely violent disposition. Look for his stock to take off during the spring evaluation as recruiters make their way out to the tiny East Texas town less than 30 miles southeast of Tyler.
