Post-game celebration thread: Texas surges past Oklahoma, 76-63

What a game. What a team. What an environment. Yes.

Brendan Maloney-USA TODAY Sports

At any number of points on Saturday, the Texas Longhorns could have folded against an excellent Oklahoma Sooners team that made tough shots early and benefitted from some, uh, choppy officiating. Instead, the Longhorns went on an 22-0 late in the game as head coach Shaka Smart started using a halfcourt trap, Oklahoma went cold from the field, and numerous Texas players stepped up in raucous environment at the Erwin Center for a huge 76-63 win.

There were ice-cold threes from Connor Lammert. Tough drives from Isaiah Taylor. Big blocks by Prince Ibeh. Clutch plays throughout by Javan Felix. And Kerwin Roach blocking Buddy Hield on a three-point attempt late after Hield was unconscious throughout the first half. Yes.

It was another big win at home and another effort that showed how much this team has grown this season. They're fun to watch and have bounced back from that poor performance against Baylor last year.

And Shaka Smart said it all about the Sooners before the game:

Love you, coach.
