The Texas Longhorns will have a key visitor on campus on the weekend of April 8, according to ESPN's Jeff Borzello, but it won't be a high school prospect, as Tulane Green Wave transfer forward Dylan Osetkowski will take an important trip to Austin to visit with head coach Shaka Smart and company.
The 6'8, 245-pounder will also visit the Arizona Wildcats the following weekend as he considers his future plans.
After spending two years in New Orleans, Osetkowski recently elected to transfer following the termination of Tulane head coach Ed Conroy. Osetkowski was the team's leading rebounder at 8.4 per game and also scored 11.4 points. No other Green Wave player was on the court for more minutes last season than Osetkowski and he responded with 40 steals, 18 blocks, and 52 assists to complement his 11 double doubles.
Texas is in need of future frontcourt help after losing Cameron Ridley, Prince Ibeh, and Connor Lammert to graduation at the end of the 2015-2016 season and while Osetkowski is not a graduate transfer and would therefore have to sit out a year, he would be a significant get for Smart and his staff since he has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
