Under new offensive coordinator Sterlin Gilbert, the Texas Longhorns are restructuring practice and focusing on execution, but the key storyline will be the quarterback competition, which head coach Charlie Strong said will be "wide open" during his first spring media availability on Monday.
With five scholarship quarterbacks on campus, there's plenty of competition just for repetitions, but Strong wants to find a starter by the end of the Orange-White game roughly five weeks from now.
"I hope we're not talking about it in the fall," Strong said. "You hope by the end of the spring, you can say hey, I feel really comfortable with this guy."
