According to multiple reports, consensus five-star Kennedale linebacker Baron Browning plans to visit the Texas Longhorns next Saturday for the Orange-White game that will mark the end of spring practice for head coach Charlie Strong's team.
In the wake of vaulting into the leadership position with the No. 2 prospect in the country, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy linebacker Dylan Moses, Texas will have a chance to make another big impression on the nation's No. 17 prospect, No. 2 outside linebacker, and No. 3 player in Texas, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Browning recently included Texas in his top 10 last week and was a visitor for the Junior Day in late February, at which point there was definitely the perception of some momentum for the Longhorns two weeks after the 6'3, 230-pounder decommitted from the Baylor Bears.
Since then, he's taken visits to Texas A&M and Baylor, but neither of those schools made his top 10, so the only recent visit for Browning that could have had any type of positive impact was a trip to LSU last weekend.
In advance of Browning's trip back to Austin, the last five predictions in his 247Sports Crystal Ball have all been in favor of Texas.
