The commitment of Fort Bend Travis offensive guard Will Farrar to the UCLA Bruins lasted little more than a month and ended on Monday, so the 6'4, 290-pounder is now set to visit the Texas Longhorns on Thursday in the midst of two other important visits:
Texas A&M today, Texas tomorrow and LSU this weekend!— Will Farrar (@farrar3790) April 13, 2016
The consensus three-star prospect committed to the Bruins on March 4, but a visit to see the Texas A&M Aggies seems like a key moment in his recruitment, as he recently called A&M his "dream school" and decommitted from UCLA after taking a visit to Los Angeles last weekend, perhaps to let the coaches know about his pending decision in person.
As a result of that major movement with the Aggies, there are now four predictions for head coach Kevin Sumlin's program in his 247Sports Crystal Ball:
At the least, Texas will get a chance to make an initial impression on Farrar after offering him in late February and, therefore, an opportunity to arrest some of the A&M momentum in his recruitment.
Farrar has a rating of .8838 in the 247Sports Composite rankings and sit at No. 383 nationally, No. 13 among offensive guards, and No. 51 in the state of Texas. Overall, he has close to 30 offers, including Arizona State, Cal, Kansas State, Louisville, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Missouri, North Carolina, Northwestern, Texas Tech, Washington, and West Virginia.
