Over the weekend, former Texas Longhorns safety and current Seattle Seahawks star Earl Thomas got married in style at Chateau Cocomar in Houston. And what better way to look the part in a $10 million European-inspired estate than to dress like a king? So Thomas donned a crown and a cape to say his vows.
Eleven years ago, Thomas and his family spent a year living in a single motel room after Hurricane Rita destroyed their home. After choosing Texas over Texas A&M, Thomas redshirted before becoming a freshman All-American, then capped his Longhorns career by setting the school record with eight interceptions and finishing as a finalist for the Thorpe Award.
Now he's one of the top safeties in the NFL, having already fulfilled his promise to buy his parents a house. And married, in a style befitting his skill set on the field.
Congratulations to Earl and his lovely bride, Nina Heisser. Keep balling, young man.
