Charlie Strong worried about the middle of the Texas defense

The 'Horns need some bodies in the trenches and better play at middle linebacker and safety.

To keep teams from gashing the Texas Longhorns in the running game once again in 2015, head coach Charlie Strong wants to see improvement from the middle of his defense.

But after losing two defensive tackles and moving one of the four scholarship defensive tackles to the offensive line prior to last weekend's Orange and White game, there's not a lot of depth there and the team still doesn't have a healthy natural middle linebacker or ideal safety play.

So BON executive editor Wescott Eberts breaks down the current state of the middle of the Texas defense and makes an educated guess about how the group will perform this fall.
