The Texas Longhorns are done with spring practice and players are busy preparing for finals, but that didn't stop the group of four early enrollees from continuing to spend time together, as quarterback Shane Buechele hosted wide receiver Collin Johnson, center Zach Shackelford, and linebacker Demarco Boyd in Arlington on Saturday evening for a Texas Rangers game:

Buechele's father, Steve, is currently the bench coach for the Rangers. The Texas players were even lucky enough to see a 7-2 win by the home team.
More importantly, the trip provides further support to head coach Charlie Strong's statement after the Orange and White game that Buechele is inseparable from Johnson, the wide receiver who will make his job much easier in the future by catching any pass that enters his zip code.
And Shackelford may well be Buechele's center this fall -- Shack Attack locked down the starting job virtually from the minute that he stepped on campus, while Buechele looks like the likely starter after his impressive performance during the spring game.
Known as a gym rat for always being around the football offices and leading extra workouts, it appears that Buechele is intent on growing his leadership ability into the summer as he attempts to cement his position as the Texas quarterback of the future.
