Red River Showdown will appear on FS1 in 2016

The kickoff times and channels for two other games are also set.

The long tradition of ABC televising the Texas Longhorns and the Oklahoma Sooners in the Red River Showdown will end this year, as the game will air on FS1 in 2016. There is not yet a kickoff time set for the game, but the two teams traditionally face off in the 11 a.m. slot.

Here's why:

The school also announced that the September 10 game against the UTEP Miners will be at 6 p.m. CT on Longhorn Network and November 25 game against the TCU Horned Frogs will be at 2:30 p.m. CT on FOX or FS1. Originally slated for Thanksgiving, the TCU contest was moved to Friday in early February.

In addition, the Longhorn Network also announced that it will carry the home conference game against the Iowa State Cyclones at a time to be determined, though it will be mostly likely be the same start time as the UTEP game.

And the Pac-12 sent out a release that the game in Berkeley between the Longhorns and the Cal Golden Bears on September 17 will kick at 9:30 p.m. CT on ESPN or ESPN2.
