4-star power forward Royce Hamm commits to Texas

Shaka Smart now has his first 2017 commitment with the news that Houston-area power forward Royce Hamm is a Longhorn!

Hamm, a four-star talent, visited Texas June 10 and has been a priority for the Longhorns for quite some time now. Ranked as the nation’s No. 23 power forward and the No. 10 player in Texas, Hamm could be the beginning of yet another impressive recruiting class for Smart, who has Texas firmly in the mix with several elite recruits.

Hamm holds seven offers, including Kansas State, Texas Tech and Vanderbilt.
