Last season, the 28-year-old Augustin played 62 games – 34 with Oklahoma City and 28 with Denver – averaging 7.5 points and 3.2 assists in 19 minutes per game. Most notably, Augustin connected on 41 percent of his perimeter attempts; a crucial quality in today’s NBA. In addition to running alongside Elfrid Payton in some lineups, Augustin provides Orlando with some much-needed point guard depth. And considering the prices being thrown around in free agency, this could prove to be a steal for the Magic.
