The time that Kennedale linebacker Baron Browning spent on Texas Longhorns linebacker Malik Jefferson’s Flyrush 7on7 team at The Opening Finals last week in Oregon left an impression on the nation’s No. 2 outside linebacker:

Prior to the event, Browning didn’t have a relationships with Jefferson, but that’s now changed and it could have a positive impact on the consensus five-star prospect’s recruitment by Texas.

Now he knows what type of person head coach Charlie Strong is attempting to mold in his program and the type of leadership that will be present on an off the field for the Longhorns over the next several years.

Even if Browning doesn’t end up playing his college football in Austin, he’ll still be able to carry those lessons with him and that’s a powerful testimony to Jefferson’s unique personality.
