Fort Bend Elkins outside linebacker Kenneth Murray trimmed his list to six on Friday and the Texas Longhorns made the cut, per a tweet sent from the rangy, athletic recruit.

Along with Texas, the Houston-area product is still considering Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Houston, Michigan and Nebraska. The inclusion of Texas doesn’t come as much of a surprise. Murray has unofficially visited the Forty Acres a few times, which includes Texas’ Junior Day in February and a visit June 11, following his May 25 offer.
Now with the news of Texas making Murray’s final six, it’s likely that the staff gets the in-state talent on campus for an official visit. But whatever the ‘Horns look to do, it must be put into place quickly and convince Murray that Austin is the place for him, as his August 10 decision date is just around the corner.
