Four-star inside linebacker Anthony Hines of Plano West narrowed his recruitment list to 10 finalists on Thursday at The Opening and the Texas Longhorns are still in the mix.

Instead of the normal edit, Hines sent out a tweet that included a YouTube video featuring his reveal.

In addition to Texas, the other nine finalists are TCU, Ohio State, Florida, Texas A&M, UCLA, Oklahoma, Auburn, SMU, and Oklahoma State.

Since Hines is considered the No. 1 inside linebacker in the nation, per the 247Sports Composite rankings, his mind-boggling collection of 90 offers shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. It’s also not much of a surprise the Longhorns are still in contention for the elite in-state product. In total, Hines has taken three unofficial visits to the Forty Acres, attended Texas’ Junior Day and a summer camp last year.

Prior to heading out to Oregon, Hines offered the following tweet:

Hines also plans to take an official visit to Austin in the fall before his decision, which should come soon after, as Hines plans to enroll early a whichever program lands the No. 10 player in Texas. In March, Hines told Burnt Orange Nation that Texas is a program he could definitely picture himself at.

Oklahoma currently holds the lead in the 247Sports Crystal Ball for Hines with 50 percent of the predictions, but Texas is in second place with 29 percent and the last four cast.
