WATCH: Highlights from Saturday’s Texas scrimmage

A look at some of the top plays from the first scrimmage of fall camp.

Saturday’s scrimmage may have been difficult for Texas Longhorns head coach Charlie Strong to evaluate because of injuries, but it did still produce some highlights, as demonstrated by the following video:

The most notable plays include a nice cut from freshman running back Kyle Porter to avoid an open-field tackle attempt by senior safety Dylan Haines and a big-time hit by senior cornerback Sheroid Evans to bring down a receiver for a short gain.

Haines managed to redeem himself with an end-zone interception of a pass thrown by freshman quarterback Shane Buechele intended for freshman wide receiver Devin Duvernay that had too much air under it.
