The grind of fall camp continues for the Texas Longhorns, with Monday’s practice occurring in the Bubble because of steady rain in the area that has soaked the outdoor practice fields.

Perhaps the biggest news was the return of junior running back D’Onta Foreman, who missed the scrimmage on Saturday because of a minor injury issue. The big back looks ready for the season to start, as he sized up sophomore safety John Bonney before pulling up.
The video mostly features individual drill work, including sophomore linebacker Anthony Wheeler going through one of the tackling circuits by taking down a large, rolling piece of O-shaped foam.
The team also did some short-yardage preparation with sophomore Jake McMillon continuing to work with the first team at center. The defense appeared to get the best of most of these plays, including a play from sophomore Fox end Breckyn Hager crashing down from the backside, with the exception of freshman running back Kyle Porter slicing through a hole on one effort.
Perhaps the most notable play was senior quarterback Tyrone Swoopes throwing a dart to sophomore wide receiver Jerrod Heard on what appeared to be a hitch. As freshman safety Brandon Jones pursued Heard, the former quarterback spun hard away from Jones and up the sideline, some evidence of just how elusive Heard can be with the football in his hands.
Here's the video of Heard's catch in isolation:

The video closes with freshman quarterback Shane Buechele making an impressive throw into a relatively small window between sophomore cornerback Davante Davis and senior safety Dylan Haines to sophomore wide receiver John Burt, though the track star may have taken a big hit during a game had the play been live.
