Three days ago, the Texas Longhorns added another baseball commit to their 2018 class. On his Twitter account, Katy HS (Katy, TX) pitcher Coy Cobb announced that he has committed to play for the school in Austin.

His baby sister, Chloe, actually first announced the news that her brother had committed to Texas.

The 6-foot-4, 175-pound right-handed pitcher is the 43rd-ranked Class of 2018 prospect in Texas and the 21st-ranked right-handed pitcher in the class, according to Perfect Game’s rankings. Also, he is ranked as the 169th-best right-handed Class of 2018 pitcher in the country, per the rankings.

A member of this past summer’s Kyle Chapman White 16U team, Cobb earned a spot on the 2016 Underclass Honorable Mention team by Perfect Game. His fastball tops out at 85 MPH.
