5-star OLB Baron Browning to visit Texas for Notre Dame game

Texas is in good standing with the elite in-state linebacker

baron browning Wescott Eberts (SB Nation)

Now included among the growing list of visitors set to attend Texas’ season opener against Notre Dame is five-star outside linebacker Baron Browning.

Texas has been among the most active in Browning’s recruitment, which has seen numerous perceived headliners. At the moment, it seems the Longhorns are the leaders with UCLA and the long-time leader Ohio State close behind. TCU and Alabama are also certainly teams to keep an eye one.

As previously noted, Browning will also be joining five-star Episcopal teammates Marvin Wilson (DT) and Walker Little (OT) on the Forty Acres September 4; all of which are priorities for Texas and the kind of talents required to continue building upon the two previous recruiting classes. But much like Wilson, Browning is a guy Texas will have to impress on the field in hopes of luring to Austin, which could begin with a bang against Notre Dame.

Additionally, 2018 Yoakum brothers Jordan and Joshua Moore will be in attendance against Notre Dame, as will a handful of other prospects, which we will make note of once the list of attendees appears complete.
