Four-star Plano East inside linebacker Anthony Hines announced Sunday, per his Twitter, that he’ll be making his college commitment Nov. 29.

Along with Texas, the in-state talent is considering Oklahoma, Baylor, Ohio State, Florida and Auburn, among others.

Many believe the Sooners to be the Sooners to be the convincing favorite in Hines’ recruitment, though, Texas, along with others, is still firmly in the mix.

A certain plus for Texas is Hines feeling he could find a role within the Longhorns linebacker depth, and more importantly, his parents are really high on head coach Charlie Strong.

The 6’2, 222-pound was recently in Austin for Under the Lights, as well as an unofficial visit for the Orange-White game and Junior Day, in addition to two more 2015 unofficial visits and another in 2014.

Hines plans to enroll early at whichever program he commits to, which could very likely be one of the two featured in the yearly Red River Rivalry.
