Texas priority point guard Matt Coleman released his top 10 Monday night and as expected, the Longhorns made the cut. Along with Texas, Coleman is still considering Syracuse, Stanford, Washington, Arizona, Xavier, North Carolina State, Louisville, Seton Hall and Virginia.

By all accounts, Coleman is a heavy Longhorn lean. The four-star Oak Hill Academy (Va.) product has been a priority for Shaka Smart since his days at VCU and nothing has changed over the last year and a half. More recently, and likely a considerable bonus for Texas, was Coleman starting all five games under the Smart-coach Team USA U18 squad, in which Coleman played alongside current Longhorns Jarrett Allen and James Banks, as well as another 2017 priority in P.J. Washington.
Coleman recently said he’s not sure if he’ll decide in December or January, but when that time comes, it’s quite likely the Virginia native becomes a Longhorn. Texas currently holds all 16 of Coleman’s Crystal Ball projections.
Coleman ranks as the No. 36 player and No. 8 point guard in the country.
