Sophomore slump? Not a chance.

Texas Longhorns left tackle Connor Williams has picked up where he left off with his Freshman All-American campaign, landing on the Pro Football Focus Team of the Week for his performance last weekend against the California Golden Bears.

The second highest-rated offensive tackle in the country, Williams still hasn’t allowed a pressure this season, according to PFF, and also posted one of the highest run-blocking grades.

Last season, the Longhorns were able to run the ball effectively behind the left side of the line thanks to the 6’6, 286-pounder, who is now teaming with fellow sophomore Patrick Vahe to produce devastating combination.

As the two players continue to gain experience, the sky is the limit for the Texas rushing attack as Williams locks down the blind side of freshman quarterback Shane Buechele in pass protection.

Sophomore linebacker Anthony Wheeler found a place on the Big 12 list, as did senior defensive tackle Paul Boyette Jr and sophomore running back Chris Warren.
