Another defensive tackle prospect is on the Texas Longhorns radar with the news that Louisburg College’s Larrell Murchison will take an official visit to Austin this weekend.
The 6’4, 277-pounder picked up his only reported offer from the Ole Miss Rebels on January 5 and committed the following the day. On January 27, he plans on taking his official visit to Oxford.
After spending this weekend in Texas, Murchison plans on returning to the state to take an official visit to Houston on January 20.
The North Carolina native doesn’t officially hold offers from each Lone Star State program, according to his 247Sports.
However, in the case of the Longhorns, that’s likely a formality, especially if former Arizona commit Austin Faoliu doesn’t make it to campus.
Murchison is ranked as a three-star prospect by 247Sports and the No. 9 junior college defensive tackle.
