Add another name to the list of Texas Longhorns visitors on January 20th — Henderson athlete Trestan Ebner, who informed Horns247 of his plans on Thursday.
The 6’0, 188-pounder committed to TCU back in June, then opted to reopen his recruitment two days before Christmas.
The other program under consideration for Ebner is Baylor, as the Bears offered him just before he decommitted from the Horned Frogs. This weekend, he’ll be in Waco on an official visit.
Texas could opt to use Ebner on either side of the football if he receives an offer and decides to commit to the Longhorns — he plays both ways for Henderson and there is some spot in the secondary left and one or two spots at wide receiver.
The consensus three-star prospect is ranked as the No. 437 player nationally, the No. 26 athlete, and the No. 60 player in Texas, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Like Colorado commit Chris Miller, Ebner has impressive speed, running a 4.40 40-yard dash at the Dallas The Opening Regional last March. He also ran a 4.42 shuttle and recorded a 32.8-inch vertical jump.
