Northeastern Oklahoma A&M defensive tackle Jamari Chisholm will be on an official visit hosted by the Texas Longhorns this weekend, he tweeted on Thursday evening.

The 6’5, 280-pounder is one of two junior college defensive tackles who will be on campus this weekend, joining Larrell Murchison of Louisburg College. However, the important difference is that Murchison is already committed to Ole Miss, while Chisholm is still open.

Chisholm currently holds offers from Georgia State and Syracuse, but does not yet have an offer from Texas. It’s possible that the staff would expect him to commit on the spot if offered.

Since the ‘Horns don’t yet have a defensive tackle committed in the class and don’t face much competition for Chisholm’s services at this time, it would not be surprising to see that scenario play out if the staff feels like he can play for Texas.

A consensus low three-star prospect, Chisholm is ranked as the No. 162 junior college player nationally and the No. 21 junior college defensive tackle.
