Less than 24 hours after missing on TCU Horned Frogs wide receiver commit Omar Manning, the Texas Longhorns extended an offer to Colorado Buffaloes athlete Chris Miller, according to Horns247.
Colorado is recruiting Miller as a defensive backs, but head coach Tom Herman wants him to play slot receiver for Texas.
However, it may be difficult to get Miller on campus, as his Denton teammate Grant Polley opted to stick with the Buffaloes on Monday evening, which could influence Miller.
There is also some belief that Miller would prefer to play defensive back, a relatively unusual decision for high school two-way standouts who often prefer to have the ball in their hands.
The coaching staff in Austin previously recruited Miller at Houston. He also holds offers from Baylor, Iowa, Kansas, Ole Miss, and others.
Ranked as a consensus three-star prospect, Miller is the No. 633 athlete nationally, the No. 47 athlete, and the No. 86 player in Texas, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
