Happy Birthday, Bevo XV

Long may he reign!

The Texas Longhorns mascot, formerly known as Sunrise Spur and now known as Bevo XV, is celebrating his second birthday on Tuesday:

Introduced before the football team’s season opener against Notre Dame back in September, the mascot replaced Bevo XIV, who passed away in late 2015.

On Thanksgiving Day, the ‘Horns celebrated the 100-year anniversary of the mascot, which was originally introduced at the 1916 game against Texas A&M.
