WATCH: Texas HC Tom Herman talks new assistants, renovations to facilities

For the first time since Tom Herman’s introductory press conference, the new Texas Longhorns head coach met with the media on Thursday to introduce his new coaching staff.

In addition to expressing surprise at the negative reactions surrounding the hire of offensive coordinator Tim Beck, Herman also discussed the coaching staff as a whole, expounded on the value of alignment, and his plans for catching up with the top programs in college football in terms of facilities and support staff.

Oh yeah, and he also dropped the new catch phrase for Longhorns football — “This isn’t rocket surgery.”
