The seniors have a lot to play for this week.
''They don't want to be remembered as the senior class that went through the worst three-year stretch in the history of Texas football. They want to be remembered as the senior class that helped usher in a new way of doing things, a return to prominence,'' Herman said.
There’s no way Tom Herman is overlooking Texas Tech.
LB Gary Johnson was named Big 12 co-Defensive Player of the Week.
The Tech game is almost a sellout.
Where will the Horns go bowling?
There are several bowl sites for the Longhorns, and they won’t get the official invitation for a couple of weeks. The most likely destination will come from three games: the Camping World Bowl in Orlando, Florida on Dec. 28; the Autozone Liberty Bowl in Memphis on Dec. 30; and the Texas Bowl in Houston on Dec. 27. These are three of the seven that have Big 12 contracts.
The two Texas flagship schools still pull in big ratings.
Kevin Sumlin plans on being the Aggies’ head coach in 2018.
