Tom Herman and Texas football are continuing to target elite backfield talent in the 2019 recruiting cycle.

Texas Longhorns football offered five-star 2019 running back Trey Sanders on Thursday, according to Sanders' Twitter.

Sanders is the No. 1 ranked running back and No. 10 overall player in the class of 2019. He has been committed to Alabama since April 2016, but also holds offers from Florida State, Auburn, and Oklahoma, to name a few.

The IMG Academy junior stands at 5'11, 216 pounds and racked up 704 yards on 76 carries (9.3 YPC) and scored 10 rushing touchdowns in 2017. He is also a receiving threat, as Sanders caught seven passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns this season.

Sanders is the second IMG Academy running back the 'Horns have offered in the 2019 class, as Texas is also in pursuit of five-star teammate Noah Cain. In total, the 'Horns have offered five running backs in the 2019 class.

Sanders was a teammate this season of Longhorn commit Ayodele Adeoye, a 2018 linebacker who transferred to IMG this summer after previously attending Ritenour High School in St. Louis, Missouri.
