The Punter was sensational. The defense forced turnovers and scored points. The offense was, well, present.
In a 33-16 victory for the Texas Longhorns in the Texas Bowl against the Missouri Tigers in Houston on Wednesday, the outcome was favorable, even though a more resounding victory was in the team’s grasp.
There are plenty of areas for improvement, but the ‘Horns have a winning season for the first time since 2013 and a bowl win for the first time since 2012.
Given the recent state of Texas football, that’s cause for unequivocal celebration, at least for the moment.
