At some point in the recent past, low-key Texas Longhorns forward Jarrett Allen developed a nasty streak, one that he showcased on Monday night against the West Virginia Mountaineers with a highlight-reel, one-handed tomahawk slam right in a defender’s face
Bill Walton would approve.

The freshman continued his surge in conference play, finishing with 17 points and seven rebounds on 7-of-9 shooting. Allen seemingly improves every time he steps on the court, even though his free-throw shooting has dipped recently, which head coach Shaka Smart believes is connected to a recent wrist injury.
Road struggles for the Longhorns continued with the 77-62 loss to the Mountaineers, but there’s no question that watching Allen play is fun.
The next question is whether he’ll be throwing down dunks like that next year in college or in the NBA.
