Texas’ new spot comes after the ‘Horns defeated Oklahoma State 5-4 and 7-0 this weekend. The third game of the series was cancelled due to rain.
With eight games left in the regular season, including a key match-up at No. 9 TCU this weekend, the Longhorns could host a regional with a near flawless final month. Texas would need to be a top 16 team to play its first NCAA tournament games at the Disch.
The Longhorns could also feasibly still miss the NCAA tourney entirely with a poor finish.
Texas’ next game is at home against UT Arlington at 6:30 pm CST on Tuesday.
