No. 2 seed Texas Longhorns baseball (37-22) will kick off the Long Beach NCAA tournament regional at 6 pm CST against the No. 3 seed UCLA Bruins (30-25). The game will be on ESPN 2, and you can also listen in on 104.9 the Horn.

Texas will be the home team tonight since the Longhorns have the better seed.

Nolan Kingham will take the hill for the ‘Horns, while Griffin Canning will start for the Bruins. Canning leads all tournament pitchers in strikeouts with 134 on the year.

The victor of tonight advances to the winners’ bracket to play either No. 1 seed Long Beach State or No. 4 seed San Diego State (they play at 10 pm CST). The loser will move to the elimination game.
