As the buzz around the Texas Longhorns football programs reaches a fever pitch following four commitments in a week, including the nation’s No. 1 safety, BJ Foster, it seemed only fitting on Wednesday that Dave Campbell’s Texas Football revealed that head coach Tom Herman is on the cover of the magazine’s summer edition:

Here’s more on the cover story:
The magazine’s storied cover features new Texas Longhorns coach Tom Herman for its latest iconic image, under the heading of: “MASTERMIND — Tom Herman’s Plan To Bring Texas Back.” It’s the first time the Longhorns have made the cover of the magazine since 2009.
“Every year, our job is to put one of the most compelling stories in Texas on the cover of the magazine,” said Greg Tepper, Dave Campbell’s Texas Football managing editor. “This year, I don’t think there’s any doubt that Tom Herman is the state’s most compelling figure — a cerebral, intense figure tasked with a clear goal: bring the Longhorns back to their former glory. In my view, it’s the story of the 2017 season in Texas.”
Longhorns fans interested in reading the cover story, as well as previews of every high school and college team in Texas, can become a Dave Campbell’s Texas Football insider to receive an advance copy or wait for it to hit shelves around the state in mid-June.
