On Friday afternoon, the Texas Longhorns received some positive news on the recruiting trail when 2019 Cuero wide receiver Jordan Whittington included the ‘Horns among his top eight schools:

The standout prospect also made yet another trip to Austin to spend time with the Texas coaching staff on Friday. A 6’1, 198-pounder Whittington has been on campus numerous times in recent months, a clear indication of his interest in head coach Tom Herman’s program.
The other schools to make the cut were Florida, Florida State, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Texas A&M and UCLA.
At present, there is one 247Sports Crystal Ball prediction for Whittington to the Aggies, but expect that to change in the near future if recruiting momentum continues with the 2018 class and Whittington continues to make his way to the Forty Acres.
Whittington is ranked as a four-star prospect, the No. 60 prospect nationally, the No. 15 wide receiver, and the No. 6 player in Texas, according to the 247Sports rankings.
