No. 1 WR Terrace Marshall Jr. includes Texas in Top 4

New, comments

Along with being a favorite for some key in-state wide receivers, Texas is still in the mix with the absolute best wide receiver prospect in the nation.

Parkway (La.) product Terrace Marshall Jr. is down to four finalists and the Texas Longhorns remain in the mix for the nation’s top-ranked wide receiver prospect, along with LSU, Miami and Texas A&M.

While several powerhouse programs such as Oklahoma, Alabama and Florida State missed the cut, the most notable exclusion from Marshall’s final four is TCU. After the Horned Frogs recently landed Marshall’s teammate and four-star quarterback Justin Rogers, TCU was expected to remain in the mix down the stretch and potentially even threaten LSU, the heavy favorite in this recruitment.

That said, the ‘Horns will have their work cut out for them in hopes of ultimately reeling in the five-star Louisiana native, as will Texas A&M and Miami, which starts with getting Marshall back to the Forty Acres in the near future. He visited in February for Texas’ junior day.

As a junior for Parkway, Marshall hauled in 55 receptions for 1,250 yards and 15 touchdowns.

At 6’2.5, 192 pounds, Marshall ranks as the nation’s No. 10 player, No. 1 wide receiver and the No. 1 player in Louisiana, per 247Sports Composite.
