The Kissimmee (Fla.) native holds offers from the likes of Wisconsin, Louisville and Minnesota. Texas is yet to offer.
With the departures of Jordan Elliott and Marcel Southall this summer, defensive line has now become a major need for Tom Herman’s 2018 class. The ‘Horns do not have any defensive tackle pledges in the group thus far.
Redmond has been on the Longhorns’ radar for several months, as he attended Texas’ junior day in February.
As a junior last fall at Osceola High School, Redmond recorded 46 tackles and 7.5 sacks according to Max Preps.
The 6’0, 292 pounder is currently rated as the No. 100 defensive tackle overall for the 2018 class, and No. 1,481 overall recruit.
