The news broke on Tuesday evening. The now former Longhorn let everyone know of his plans per his Twitter page. He noted that he asked for, and was granted, a release from UT.

Delance was a four-star prospect in the 2016 signing class. The highly coveted North Mesquite High School prospect elected to sign with Charlie Strong and the Longhorns over offers from the likes of Alabama, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M.
Once a huge part of a top ten signing class, the 6-foot-5 and 291 pound offensive lineman will attend another school this fall instead of playing his sophomore season on the 40 Acres.
Whether he chooses to go the JUCO route or directly to another Division 1 program, Jean Delance will be wanted across the nation.
