Another Missouri native will be in Austin in the coming weeks, as Independence Williams Chrisman (Mo.) strong-side defensive end Daniel Carson is set to visit Texas on September 9 when the ‘Horns host San Jose State, per multiple reports.

A three-star prospect, Carson will be joined in Austin by Saint Louis Lutheran North (Mo.) weak-side defensive end Ronnie Perkins during his visit as Texas aims to continue building its 2018 class with the addition of two more Missouri products.

In May, Carson named the Longhorns in his top 11. Carson has yet to visit the Forty Acres so his September 9 visit will be significant if the ‘Horns are to remain a threat once he begins narrowing his options even further.
Texas is currently without a pledge at defensive end.
As a junior, Carson racked up 56 tackles, 24 tackles for loss and 13 sacks.
The 6’5, 260-pounder is ranked as the nation’s No. 528 player, No. 23 strong-side defensive end and the No. 9 player in Missouri, per 247Sports Composite.
