Despite little buzz over recent months between the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners athlete commit Jaquayln Crawford, who made an unexpected Thursday visit to Austin:

The 5’9.5, 161-pounder was offered by head coach Tom Herman and his staff shortly after arriving and there was seemingly some initial interest in both sides, but it wasn’t clear where Crawford fit into those plans as other targets solidified.
Now the ‘Horns hold commitments from slot receiver Rondale Moore and four defensive backs, with targets remaining at both positions, so it still isn’t obvious where Crawford would fit into this class.
The visit does, however, suggest that there is still mutual interest from both sides, even though Crawford committed to Oklahoma back in July.
Crawford is a consensus four-star prospect ranked No. 188 nationally, No. 6 among athletes, and No. 22 in Texas, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
