On Saturday, the Texas Longhorns will not have junior tight end Garrett Gray available after the former wide receiver left the game against the San Jose State Spartans with a knee injury.
Gray did not return to action on Saturday and on Monday, head coach Tom Herman said that the 6’4, 240-pounder is week to week with a sprain. A Marble Falls product, Gray started both of the first two games and caught four passes against Maryland.
On the USC depth chart, graduate transfer Kendall Moore is listed as the co-starter with freshman Cade Brewer. Herman said he wasn’t sure if freshman tight end Reese Leitao would play against the Trojans in his return from suspension.
Redshirt freshman left guard Pat Hudson also left the game on Saturday with an apparent knee injury, but had not received the results of his MRI when Herman spoke with the media. Hudson was not listed on the depth chart, either.
