After Texas Longhorns junior quarterback Jerrod Heard was tackling onto the back of the leg of All-American left tackle Connor Williams against the USC Trojans in the second quarter, Williams suffered a knee injury.
The school quickly declared the junior out of the game. Senior right tackle Tristan Nickelson took over, with sophomore right tackle Denzel Okafor stepping in for Nickelson.
Now the question is whether the Longhorns can operate at even a reasonable competency along the offensive line with its best player out of the game and potentially at risk of missing future games.
