The Texas Longhorns received some good news on the recruiting trail on Saturday, as 2019 Dallas Bishop Dunne athlete Marquez Beason includes the ‘Horns among his top six schools:

As the tweet indicates, the other schools still in the mix are Arkansas, Illinois, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Washington.
The 5’11, 173-pounder cut his list from the more than 30 schools that have extended scholarship offers.
Back in April, Beason committed to Nebraska, which remains under consideration, but he opted to re-open his recruitment in May, one day after receiving his offer from Texas.
Now the Longhorns are perceived as the leader, with all four predictions in Beason’s 247Sprots Crystal Ball favoring Texas. Those picks all date from the immediate aftermath of his decommitment from Nebraska.
A consensus four-star prospect, Beason is ranked as the No. 104 player nationally, the No. 8 athlete, and the No. 14 player in Texas, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
